I don't understand the negative reviews here, on the way from Roanoke, WV to Pittsburgh airport we stopped here this morning for a late breakfast, we were greeted right away.  They said about a 5 minute wait, after about 5 minutes were were seated.  Waitress was helping another table and about 60 seconds later came to us and said she will be right with us....then all of the sudden they had a party of 17 come in so our waitress was helping the manager put tables together for the party of 17, but instead of making us wait she handed off our table to another waitress which worked out just fine.  Wife ordered country biscuits and gravy & two pancakes and I ordered country fried steak breakfast w/gravy on the side.  The ONLY reasons I don't give this Bob Evans  5 stars is because the pancakes were not good and they forgot to do the gravy on side for my breakfast like I asked, BUT the good news here is, unlike most restaurants, it was not a huge amount of gravy so that was good.  The chicken fried steak was ONE of the best I have had at any restaurant.  I also tried part of my wife's biscuit, and it was also really, really good!!!

This restaurant is typically very busy. It wasn't quite so busy the day we visited. I was surprised our service was so slow?! A lady came to our table after we were seated and got our drink order and told us a gentleman would be taking our order. It was a good 10 minutes or so before he showed up. It took a very long time to get our food which made me miserable as I was sitting under an air vent! I was cold. I will say our food  was delicious. The hash browns and bacon were crisp as requested!
Our last visit, the service was good but the food was sub par ! Hopefully, you will catch them on a good day!

I travel for business a lot, so I eat out a lot.  I have one major pet peeve - when I am seated at a restaurant, I like to be greeted within a few minutes.  If the server is busy, I understand, but greet me pleasantly "I'll be right with you", or something like that.

So Sat morning around 10am I come to Bob Evans and the place is NOT busy.  I sit at the counter for 5 minutes while a group of servers, busboys, manager etc. discuss the weather, staffing, whatever.  I am ignored.  Finally a waitress came over and abruptly asked if I wanted something to drink.  Course I'm in a bad mood now that I sat for 5 minutes being ignored.  Sorry folks - this automatically get one star.  Educate your staff.

This is the absolute worst place to eat in Bridgeport West Virginia. The service is poor, slow. The staff is mostly rude. The food is bad. They make absolutely nothing fresh in the restaurant it's all frozen food and reheated. Biscuits are not made I. The store they are frozen and baked. Soup is frozen and kept in crock pots all day. There is aale Manager that is there not sure of his name but it is obvious that he hates his job and his life and he takes it out on anyone dining there. It's astounding to me that there are always people waiting out the door to get tables to eat here anymore. 5-10 years ago Bob Evans was w nice quiet place to get a decent meal at a decent price. But now the foidus just gross, the staff is poor, and the prices are too high for the quality and the quantity. If you want something good at a decent price go to Garfield's or Applebee's.

This restaurant is NEXT to to I-79.  It is fairly easy to get in and out of...parking can stack up on the weekend mornings.  Recent renovations have made it a bit more updated and the 'country store' vibe in the front entryway provides alot of temptations with displays of banana nut loaves and various pies.
